1. Data protection at a glance

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

Who is responsible for the collection of data on this website?

CabCon is an event organised by Energy Support GmbH. Data processing on this website is carried out by Energy Support GmbH. You will find the contact details in the imprint and in the section "Information on the controller".

How do we collect your data?

On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us, for example via the contact form. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. web browser, operating system or time of the page request).

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data is used to process your enquiry. Your browsing behaviour is not analysed on this website.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, restriction of processing or erasure of this data. For this purpose, and for any further questions on the subject of data protection, you may contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

2. Hosting

We host the content of this website with the following provider:

Hetzner Online GmbH
Industriestraße 25
91710 Gunzenhausen
Germany

The servers are located in Germany. When you visit this website, the provider collects various log files, including your IP address (see section "Server log files").

The provider is used in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the provider. This ensures that the data of our website visitors is processed only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information on the controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Energy Support GmbH
Sperberweg 47
D-41468 Neuss
Germany

T +49 (0)2131 40 39 60 7
F +49 (0)2131 40 39 60 8
Email: info@energy-support.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for which it was processed no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be erased unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under commercial or tax law); in the latter case, erasure will take place once these grounds no longer apply.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent you have already given at any time, informally, by email to us. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to the collection of data in special cases (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for our company is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Access, rectification and erasure

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this purpose, and for any further questions on the subject of personal data, you may contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser begins with "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of contact details published in connection with the statutory imprint obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam emails.

4. Data collection on this website

No cookies, no analytics tools

This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics, tracking or marketing services. Your usage behaviour is not analysed.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the optimisation of the website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the information you provide – your interest as an exhibitor or participant, name, company, email address, telephone number and your message – in order to handle your enquiry and to send you information about CabCon. Your enquiry is stored on our server, forwarded to our team by email and, where applicable, recorded in our internal customer management system, which is likewise operated in Germany. You will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt at the email address you have provided. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form, and on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures (e.g. a subsequent participation or exhibitor booking). You may withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification to us by email is sufficient for this purpose.

The data you enter in the form will remain with us until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiries stored on the web server are automatically deleted after 12 months at the latest.

To send the emails (forwarding your enquiry to our team and the confirmation of receipt to you), we use our company's email service. Its servers are located in Switzerland, for which an adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR).

5. Plugins and tools

Fonts

This website uses so-called web fonts for the uniform display of fonts. The font files are stored on our own server and are delivered from there. When a page is accessed, therefore, no connection is established to Google Fonts or any other external font service, and no data is transmitted to third parties.

Videos and images

All videos and images embedded on this website are stored on our own server. We do not use YouTube, Vimeo or comparable plugins. No data is transmitted to third parties when a video is played.
